Site updated 26.1.12
The Potteries Guinea Pig Rescue is run by Helen Chadwick with the help of Claire Love and a dedicated team. We just love Guinea Pigs and do everything we can to promote their happiness, welfare and encourage responsible pet ownership,by offering first class advice and support to owners. We are based in Kidsgrove, Stoke on Trent and are ideally placed for re-homing to a wide area. We are just 10 minutes from the M6 (junction 16) just off the A34 :)
The above picture is Darcy who was a very special member of my Guinea Pig family and was the inspiration for the rescue. He arrived a sad unwanted pet, but quickly settled and became a wonderful happy little guinea pig, which is what being a Guinea Pig is all about. He is now at rainbow bridge in Guinea Pig heaven but lives on as the mascot of our rescue centre.
Whether you are just looking ,after information or considering adoption, please feel free to get in touch
We look forward to hearing from you :)

What is a rescue Guinea Pig ??
A rescue Guinea Pig is an unwanted Guinea Pig brought into the rescue by a member of the public. We aim to never turn a Guinea Pig away, Claire and i do all we can to find our little friends their right forever home.
Pete and Morgan past residents
What should a genuine rescue offer ???
A safe haven for all Guinea Pigs, with a strict no breeding policy.A "rescue" should not have any breeding programme in place,or be rehoming Guinea Pigs as rescue Guinea Pigs when they have been bred by the owner. The public deserve honesty when handing over donations for "rescue" Guinea Pigs.Make sure you ask the history of your potential Guinea Pig.
A clear adoption policy
After care and support
Up to date veterinary supported advice
Visits without obligation and honest answers given :)
Greg and Toffee (RIP)
