Perfect Pinkies !!
Spring sees the start of our " Perfect Pinkies Campaign ",we shall be dispelling the myths about red eyed piggies and getting people to just love those pinkies !! Its a fact that many Guinea Pigs with red eyes get overlooked,a common comment is " i dont really like red eyes " its a shame the media has given red eyes a creepy factor ! So our aim is to make owners see Pink instead and give these piggies the same chance of a forever home.I know of one pair at the walsall RSPCA who have had no enqueries in 5 months and they are just adorable !!
"The eyes of an albino animal appear red because the colour of the red blood cells in the underlying retinal blood vessels shows through where there is no pigment to obscure it "

Leo - Age 8mths Satin cream and brown pet boar
Jasper - Age 14mths Himalayan cross pet boar
A gorgeous pair of boars,devoted friends.Leo has been with us for several months,he arrived last October very ill with pneumonia and dental problems.Claire nursed him around the clock.He has made an excellent recovery and just has a little head tilt. Initially Leo will need monthly dental checks which will be provided by the rescue.Jasper is an unwanted gorgeous pet boar very friendly and has been a huge support to Leo.
They need a special home, indoors with time to care.They are both healthy guinea pigs,Leo just needs ongoing tlc.

Gabriel was Gregorys companion for 5 months,Greg loved him and looked after him very well.Gabriel is a lovely natured boar,curious and playful.We have paired him with Marmite an unwanted pet baby boar.Gregs daddy behaviour has rubbed off on Gabriel and he is super with Marmite. As the rescue is so busy,I have decided to find a brilliant forever home for Gabriel and Marmite so they can gets lots of attention.

Valentino is a merino pet boar age around 6 months,sweet and confident.He is white with pink eyes.He was an unwanted pet and we have paired him with baby boar Troy,who came in part of an unexpected pets at home litter !! They get on really well and Troy keeps Valentino busy with his playing !! They both have great personalities and compliment each other perfectly.
